DJI's Osmo 360 II fixes its predecessor's flaws, and remains much more affordable than Insta360

DJI Osmo 360 II: two-minute review Just a year after launching its debut 360 camera, the Osmo 360 , DJI has delivered a sequel that addresses pretty much every complaint I had with the original — without asking you to pay through the nose for the privilege. The Osmo 360 II looks and feels almost identical to its predecessor: same dimensions, same weight, same general shape. But DJI has used that 12-month gap wisely, fixing the two biggest issues I had with the original Osmo 360 in one swift update. First, the lenses. They're now built with a tougher optical coating, and — far more importantly — they're user-replaceable if you crack or scratch one. For anyone using this camera to capture action sports, that alone might be worth the modest price increase. Second, DJI's approach to underwater shooting has changed. The waterproof rating hasn't budged from 10m, but where DJI once activ...

The Whisper Man review — Robert DeNiro and Adam Scott can't redeem this predictable and disappointing Netflix movie

Netflix has struggled in the thriller space recently. After The Last House disappointed me, I was hoping that The Whisper Man would restore my faith in the genre. Unfortunately, the new Robert DeNiro and Adam Scott led movie was another bitter disappointment. It had potential, but suffers from pacing issues and a predictable plot throughout. This was a frustrating experience for me because with a storyline like this, they could have included some smarter twists. The Whisper Man follows grieving widower Tom Kennedy (Adam Scott), whose son Jake (Acston Luca Porto) is abducted after they move to a new town to start a new life. What was meant to be a fresh start turns into a living nightmare for Tom, who is desperate to find his son. This desperation leads him to his estranged father, Peter Willis (Robert DeNiro), from whom Tom has completely separated himself to the point they don't share a surn...

MSI Pro MP243W E14 review: A simple FHD business monitor at a spectacular price

Image
The MSI PRO MP243 is a slim-bezel monitor that delivers nearly everything you would want from a low-cost display. At the same time, it’s exactly what you would expect when you hear the words “budget monitor.” It’s not going to impress you with flashy features, and it’s not going to win any performance awards. It's not the very best business monitor we've ever tested. But what it does offer, however, is a sleek design, an easy setup, and enough of what most people need to make it a practical choice for everyday work in the office or home. Maybe you need a larger screen for your home office, or perhaps you just bought a mini PC or Mac mini and need an affordable display to go along with it. It could also work well as a second monitor in a dual-screen setup. In those cases, the MP243 does the job. The Philips 5000 Series Megabasket with Steam is a fabulously versatile air fryer that surprised me with consistently great results

Philips 5000 Series Megabasket with Steam Air Fryer: 30-second review The Philips 5000 Series Megabasket with Steam Air Fryer is an air fryer and then some. Sure it does a great job at being an air fryer, and so it should for the premium price tag it comes in at. The sizable 9.5L basket offers plenty of space for family-sized portions, while the handy divider allows you to cook two different foods, at differing durations and temperatures, simultaneously. It’s pretty par for the course these days, but the 5000 Series Megabasket is only just getting started. Things are turned up a notch with the steam functionality Philips has built in. Being able to perfectly steam vegetables, fish and dumplings without the need for a separate appliance saves on counter and cupboard space, and the results here are just as good as the air fryer. However, the versatility is kicked into overdrive with the streamfry f...
