Corsair Harpoon V2 Wireless review: Two-minute review The Corsair Harpoon V2 Wireless is (as the name suggests) the second iteration of Corsair's Harpoon RGB Wireless , sporting a redesigned casing and improved internal components. Back when we reviewed the Harpoon RGB Wireless in 2019, we gave it a well-deserved four and a half stars, citing its excellent value for money, solid ergonomics, and good battery life. If I cast my gaze back seven years to the heady days of the pre-COVID era, I do remember wireless gaming mice being more of a luxury item, and the Harpoon brought this functionality to a wider audience thanks to its extremely competitive pricing. But times have changed, and it's now far easier to get your hands on a wireless gaming mouse from a household-name PC hardware brand without breaking the bank. Mice like the MSI Versa 300 Wireless 8K , Cooler Master MM311 , and Logitech ...

Valve Steam Machine: Two-minute review It's finally happening! Valve's long-awaited Steam Machine has landed at last, promising to bring gaming-PC-level performance to an ultra-compact console-style device ideal for couch gamers who want to dip their toes into PC gaming for the first time. This is Valve's second run at the console-style PC market, and the gaming giant seems a lot more committed this time around. And... well, I'm not entirely underwhelmed by it, but it's also not overwhelmingly impressive. I guess you could say I'm distinctly whelmed by the Steam Machine; it's a lovingly crafted piece of hardware that arguably achieves what it sets out to do, but falls down in two extremely important areas. As you might have already guessed, those areas are performance and pricing. At the default 1080p resolution, it's a capable little machine that should be able t...

Razer Blade 18 (2026): Two-minute review Another year, another Razer Blade laptop lineup. At this point, these reviews have become something of a foregone conclusion for me; if there are three things I can reliably expect from each new Blade release, it's great gaming performance, a sleek and robust design, and a sky-high price tag. Sure enough, the latest Blade 18 (2026) delivers on all three fronts – but I can't just say 'yep, buy it if you can afford it'. This new Blade is superior to its predecessors in several ways, and it's quite possibly the best large-screen gaming laptop (or portable workstation) you can buy right now. Having seen the dawn of Nvidia RTX 5000 GPUs in Razer's laptops when I reviewed the Razer Blade 16 (2025) last year, I had some idea of what to expect in terms of performance. The new Blade 18 did not disappoint in this regard, delivering top-notch...

Razer Viper V4 Pro: Two-minute review (Image credit: Future) Razer is a good brand for PC gaming hardware, but I have noticed a tendency over the years to make its generational hardware upgrades... iterative might be the kind way to put it, but if I were feeling uncharitable, I might call them rudimentary – improving something , but sometimes not to a sufficient degree that an entirely new product release feels worthwhile. I feared this might be the case with the Razer Viper V4 Pro. That wouldn't have been a disaster by any means; we gave the previous Viper V3 Pro a four-star score when we reviewed it back in 2024, which is perfectly respectable. But when I saw the V4 Pro for the first time, my first thought was that it didn't look any different from the V3 Pro whatsoever, and my heart sank. Once I got my hands on the new model, though, I was pleased to be proven wrong. Despite looking v...
