Two-minute review The Surface Go 2 is proof that Microsoft could turn its hand at affordable devices just as well as it builds premium ones. Honoring the Surface Go ’s legacy, this Windows 10 tablet is a bit of a departure from Microsoft’s usual high-end (and expensive) offerings, and primarily aimed at people who liked the look of the Surface Pro 7 , but couldn't afford (or justify) its high asking price. At $399/£399/AU$547 for its entry-level model, the Surface Go 2 is certainly an appealing proposition for the budget-minded. But, there are a few caveats here. This model only comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and an Intel Pentium Gold 4425Y dual-core processor, which is pretty underpowered. That 64GB storage will also feel incredibly tight after you've installed a few apps. You can get Surface Go 2 configurations with a bit more powerful innards, but they’ll hardly break any records.
