The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is finally here – if you were wondering 'what's happening with the Z Flip 2', well it seems the 5G version of the original Galaxy Flip technically counted as that, despite the lack of the number (or any other upgrade). Launched alongside the Z Fold 3 , and just like that bigger foldable phone, you'll find the Z Flip 3 is more of an iterative update on its predecessor than a hugely different device, though there are some welcome tweaks. A year and a half on from the Samsung Galaxy Flip release date, its successor is here: that’s the Galaxy Z Flip 3, with the company opting to skip ‘2’, likely to keep its more affordable foldable in line with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 which was launched at the same time. The new handset isn’t noticeably different to its predecessor – it has the same form factor, an identical display and even comparable cameras – but there are a few tweaks that make it a better device, like its improved chipset and redesigned hinge. What is noticeably different – and what will make this phone tempting to a wider range of potential buyers – is its price.
