Zamat Butterfly Shaped Cervical Memory Foam Pillow review: weird but supportive

Image
The Zamat Butterfly Shaped Cervical Memory Foam Pillow provides contouring to support the head, neck, shoulders, and arms.  The unique design makes it a pillow that can be used by side, back, and stomach sleepers – if you follow the specific instructions for each.  The memory foam is springy and bounces back to its original shape – and the fact that the pillow is curved also makes it more ergonomic than many other options. While the pillow itself isn’t washable, the cover can be removed and laundered in the washing machine, making it easy to maintain. I tested the Zamat Butterfly Shaped Cervical Memory Foam Pillow for over two weeks to see how it compares to the rest of the best pillows on the market.  And if you’re looking for ways to really boost your sleep comfort further, take a look at our guide to this year's best mattress for all budgets.  Zamat Butterfly Shaped Cervical Memory Foam Pillow review in brief Zamat Butterfly Shaped Cervical Memory Foam Pil...

Kindle Scribe review: the biggest Kindle keeps getting better

Image
One-minute review (Image credit: Future / Philip Berne) The Kindle Scribe has improved enough since it launched to become my preferred tablet to recommend if you like reading, journaling, and now maybe even old school pen and ink games like crossword puzzles and sudoku. It has the biggest screen you can find on a Kindle, while keeping the display just as sharp as the best Kindle ereaders, so books and text look amazing, even better than reading on the best iPad .  If you’re a hardcore handwriter and note-taker, you might prefer the Remarkable 2 tablet, which has many more options for pen styles, background templates, and productivity. The Kindle Scribe still has advantages, especially its backlight that lets you read and write in the dark, which the Remarkable can’t manage. The Kindle Scribe keeps things simpler, and this will work better for most people who aren’t using the writing tablet in the boardroom. The Scribe’s cost is also more consumer-friendly.  I ori...

Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons review: kick it old school

Image
Review information: Platform reviewed: PC Available on: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One Release date: 27 July 2023 Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons makes a strong first impression. The side-scrolling beat-’em-up revival initially seems like it might have it all: the art style is detailed but pleasingly retro and, much like a dragon, combat burns hot. Your first attempt to save the city is exhilarating.- I say attempts , plural, because Double Dragon Gaiden is a roguelike, sorta, and tumbling back to the main menu is a big part of it. However, this euphoria doesn’t last. The roguelike structure and the ability to unlock new characters hint at longevity, but really each additional character just builds on the initial four. Once I’d successfully taken out the four gangs terrorising the city and the shadowy figure that acts as the game’s final boss, I felt the compulsion to play more Double Dragon Gaiden b...

Disney Illusion Island review - a whimsical metroidvania-lite adventure

Image
Review information Platform reviewed: Nintendo Switch Available on: Nintendo Switch Release date: July 28, 2023 2D platformers are a dime a dozen on Nintendo Switch, but rarely are they as polished or charming as Disney Illusion Island. A fairly open-ended platformer that supports co-op play and featuring some of the best 2D visuals on the hardware, it’s well-suited for players of all ages looking for their next platforming fix. Something of a spiritual successor to the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive’s Castle of Illusion and World of Illusion, two of that console’s best games, Disney Illusion Island is more than worthy of holding your attention until fellow co-op platformer Super Mario Bros. Wonder launches later this year. Disney Illusion Island differs from its roots with an adoption of a metroidvania-style format. That means it’s not just a straight dash from left to right. Rather, the world map is somewhat open-ended, with many avenues gated off until you’ve found a ...

Epic Browser review

Image
Epic Browser is a popular privacy-centric website built on the Chromium codebase and released in 2013. It’s owned by an Indian software company called Hidden Reflex, founded by Alok Bhardwaj.  Along with tons of privacy features, its biggest USP is that the interface looks a lot like Google Chrome, meaning it’s easy to use for most people. In this review, we’ll cover Epic’s features, privacy policies, and pros and cons in detail — know everything you have to before you decide if it's the best browser for you. Epic Browser: Features Unlike other browsers, where you have to switch to an incognito or private mode if you don't want your data to be saved, Epic browser offers this functionality by default. This means that all your searches will be encrypted 24/7 with no extra effort from your end. The tracker counter shows you exactly how many trackers are blocked every day. This way, you can check how efficiently the browser is working to protect you.  If you feel that the ...

UR Browser review

Image
UR Browser is a new-age web browser for Mac and Windows, designed specifically for users who prioritize privacy and security over everything else.  It was launched as an alternative to Chrome and Safari for those looking for the same benefits but with better security. Since excellent privacy features block out many unnecessary ads, cookies, and trackers, the UR browser also loads faster than most of its peers. Today, we’ll touch upon every aspect of the UR browser, including its features, pros and cons, benefits, and competitors, so that you have a solid understanding of whether this is the best browser for you. UR Browser: Features UR browser comes with three privacy levels and lets you choose the kind of protection you want. Custom privacy with a private browsing mode puts it far ahead of the competition. Browsers usually load with cookies, ads, pop-ups, and whatnot. All these digital assets heavily weigh a browser down, which in turn, makes the browser slower.  But...

The Expanse: A Telltale Series review - the cold equations of survival

Image
Review info Platform reviewed: PC Available on: PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One Release date: July 27, 2023 Nothing good has ever come from exploring a derelict spaceship – except great stories.  The Expanse: A Telltale Series doesn’t reinvent the adventure genre, instead streamlining and refining many of its conventions. That it does so while providing a relentless and engaging story is a testament to the smart decisions taken by developer Deck Nine, which has scraped away much of the extraneous features of graphic adventure games to reveal their underlying appeal. The game is a prequel to the cult show of the same name. Despite that, it feels very much standalone, with a story that provides insight into one of the show’s main characters while being wholly accessible to newcomers.  As such it is in the execution of the story that The Expanse lives or dies. Happily the game doesn’t overload the player with exposition, relegating much of the backstory o...

Firefox Focus review

Image
Firefox Focus is the lightweight, compact version of Firefox for mobile devices. Just as Opera has Opera Mini for phones, Firefox has Firefox Focus.  What sets it apart from other browsers is its advanced security measures, customer-centric privacy policy, and lightweight design that’s kind on almost every system. Is Firefox Focus the best web browser for you? Time to find out! This detailed review will cover everything about Firefox Focus, including its features, pros and cons, competitors, and privacy policy. Firefox Focus: Features Firefox Focus prioritizes privacy and security, which is why it lets you erase all your browsing history and cookies in just one click so that the trackers can't follow you around. Sure, a lot of browsers offer private browsing or an incognito mode, but they still tag along with logging and data theft. A huge part of your data is still collected, and you might still be tracked.  However, such is not the case with Firefox Focus. This brows...

Lenovo Legion Tower 5i review: mid-range to the max

Image
Lenovo Legion Tower 5i: One-minute review The Lenovo Legion Tower 5i is quite a machine. It might not be some premium desktop that defies labels, but it’s a solid, good-looking desktop that does what it’s supposed to and does it quite well. On top of that, the price is pretty good. Being a mid-range desktop, it does have a few flaws such as the limitations that are inherent in mid-range hardware. Well, and some bloatware that I’ll mention later on. But, you shouldn’t expect a computer equipped with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 to handle ultra settings with ray tracing on.  That said, the total package is impressive enough that, for at least anyone looking for a good mid-range option, it might be one of the best gaming PCs available right now. While it doesn’t get cheap enough for those looking for budget gaming PCs , you should consider the Lenovo Legion Tower 5i if you can stretch your savings a little bit.   Lenovo Legion Tower 5i: Price & availability How much doe...
